General terms and Conditions of FOUND IN TRANSLATION, S.L.

These general terms and conditions shall apply to the commercial relationships between FOUND IN TRANSLATION, S.L and its clients or potential clients. Once an agreement has been formalised, these conditions shall form part of the contract. A contract is deemed to be formalised when the client accepts the quote provided in writing by FOUND IN TRANSLATION. This acceptance may be sent by fax, e-mail or normal post. The contract shall also be deemed to be formalised when the client, having been previously informed of the conditions and prices, formalises its request by any of the aforementioned means.

FOUND IN TRANSLATION, S.L. shall not be liable for the content of the translated documents. The points of view and opinions expressed are exclusively the responsibility of the author and do not represent the philosophy or general conduct of our company.

Delivery deadlines will be agreed by both parties. FOUND IN TRANSLATION, S.L. shall deliver the documents according to the established dates. The company shall not be liable for delays caused by possible faults or temporary interruptions in the client's server or those attributable to the internet service provider. If the company receives notice of any fault or suspension of service in advance, it will use alternative means to deliver the translation documents (fax, post, modem...) but shall not be liable for potential delays caused by it.

The cost of delivering the translated documents caused by using another means of delivery other than electronic mail shall be paid for by the client.

Quality assurance

The entire translation process carried out in FOUND IN TRANSLATION, S.L. complies with the requirements of the European translation standard UNE EN 15038:2006.


We guarantee complete confidentiality of all documentation provided by the client.

Responsibilities of the client

The client agrees to deliver clear and easily legible documents in terms of content and format. The client must notify the company of any type of changes to the content that must be made during the translation. These modifications must be accepted in writing by FOUND IN TRANSLATION, S.L. The modification of the initial agreement may require changes to the quote and the delivery times depending on the changes. Whenever possible, the client will send the documents to be translated by e-mail in order to facilitate the work of the translators.

Responsibility of FOUND IN TRANSLATION, S.L.

The responsibility of the company shall be limited to the quantity agreed for the service. FOUND IN TRANSLATION, S.L. shall not be liable for the modifications requested or for adapting the translated text to the publication requirements necessary if it has not been previously informed in writing about such requirements. FOUND IN TRANSLATION, S.L. shall not be liable in any case for errors attributable to the translation process, such as errors caused by subsequent formatting or printing services or other related processes.

Prices and payment method

The prices are those stipulated in the quotes accepted by the client or those stated in price calculations based on the final number of translated words. Prices do not include the corresponding VAT or the equivalent legal tax.

The preferred payment method is 30 days from the date of the invoice, except when stated to the contrary in the contract. Expenses corresponding to transfers or those generated by returned payments or other payment incidents shall be payable by the client. Bank transfer shall be used as the payment method and Euro shall be the currency. Bank expenses shall be paid for by the client.

Legislation and jurisdiction

All agreements between FOUND IN TRANSLATION S.L. and its clients shall be governed by Spanish legislation, and any dispute arising from them (including the interpretation and application of these general conditions) shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid (Spain).
